Heather and Chad Johnson Engagement

What a beautiful session and fun couple to work with. We shot this session near downtown (or should I say "Uptown") Charlotte near the train station off East Blvd.

At first the shoot started off a bit apprehensive as all sessions typically do, this is why I love engagement sessions, it allows the couple to become familiar with my style and vice-versa. As the day warmed up, so did the session and Heather and Chad really did a wonderful job! They are a beautiful couple and the camera really likes them.

The day was eventful as far as engagement sessions go, I got a trespassing ticket from CATS, which incidentally I appealed, went to court and lost - but it was well worth the fee. I loved shooting Heather and Chad and am really looking forward to the wedding in June!

Additionally, on this blog, folks will get a chance to see photos from recent weddings and portrait sessions and give others a chance to see how all these beautiful couples are engaging in their personal shoots!

I primarily shoot weddings and portraits. My recipe for great wedding photography is a meticulously crafted plan consisting of creativity, the willingness to explore alternative options, documentary-anism (wc) with a little bit of traditionalism mixed in here and there.

I want my viewers to walk away from an album or a proof and feel like they were there every step of the way. This is all complimented with a mild dash of insanity in order to loosen and relax you, I promise this won't be a boring ride!
